Hugo, Hoss and Ebony share a yogurt snack (from the same spoon).

Nothing like a tummy full of yogurt to bring on a nap!

The Comforts of Home

Hugo loves the home office couch. Okay, we know he isn’t supposed to be on the furniture, but the office couch is the one exception. He was in such a deep sleep last night he actually fell off the couch and didn’t really even wake up! We just love that he feels secure enough in his new home to get some deep, restful sleep. It took him about two weeks to get used spending the night in his “bedroom” with his canine brother and sister, but he sleeps all night now without a sound on his fluffy dog bed in the cool air conditioning. Home Sweet Home!

Hugo’s Raised Bowl

This is  Hugo eating at his new raised bowl. Before he got his new bowl he would have to lay on the floor to eat. I think he really likes it!

This is “Hugo”. That wasn’t always his name, but it is time for a fresh start. Hugo is one year and nine months old and had a rough start in life. Kept as an outside dog, he escaped at some point and was hit by a vehicle causing his  front leg to heal in a fused position. By the time he found his way to our home, walking on three  legs was just a way of life. Life, however, is changing for the better. Hugo will now live inside with a canine brother and sister and a family that will love him everyday. Surgery is in his future and he couldn’t be in better  hands for  the recovery with  his new Mom. Stay tuned as we bounce through the next leg of this remarkable dog’s story.
